BUDGET RENT A CAR ON TRACK FOR THE COMRADES MARATHON
On your marks, get set, go — and when these runners go, it’s going to be for 87 km’s!
The Comrades Marathon, the world’s largest and oldest ultramarathon takes place on 4 June 2017 and Budget Rent a Car is once again the driving force behind it as the official vehicle partner for this, the 92nd instalment of the marathon.
This will be the third year that Budget Rent a Car will be providing vehicles to event organisers leading up to the marathon and on race day, where participants will see if their dedication and months of rigorous training pay off.
Runners from all over the world will face the ultimate test of endurance in this year’s ‘up-run’ from Durban that will finish in Pietermaritzburg. Determined runners will remain on track with the sole goal of crossing the finishing line within 12 hours, with the car rental company behind them.
Prior to the main race day, Budget Rent a Car, will have a stand at the Comrades Marathon Expo, which takes place at the Durban ICC from 1 – 3 June 2017.
Rainer Gottschick, Chief Executive at Budget Rent a Car southern Africa, says, “We are excited to be involved with this world-class marathon and the opportunity to be a part of such a memorable experience and spirit of camaraderie. We wish all the runners the best of luck and will be supporting them all the way to the finish line.”
