Samsung Launches Galaxy S26 Series and Buds4: Smarter AI, Superior Performance, and Premium Audio
Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy S26 series, powered by next-generation Galaxy AI, alongside the new Galaxy Buds4 series, delivering smarter, more intuitive mobile experiences and premium audio for everyday use.
The Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra represent Samsung’s third-generation AI smartphones, designed to simplify daily tasks, manage complex processes in the background, and help users focus on results rather than technology. From managing schedules and finding information to capturing and editing content, the Galaxy S26 series reduces effort while offering the most powerful Galaxy experience yet.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra, featuring the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, delivers up to 19% faster CPU performance, 39% faster NPU processing, and 24% improved GPU output, making multitasking, gaming, and AI-powered features faster and more responsive.
Thermal innovation ensures devices stay cool during heavy use, while Super-Fast Charging 3.0 restores up to 75% battery in just 30 minutes. Proprietary technologies like ProScaler and mDNIe enhance visual performance, delivering sharper images, richer colours, and smoother textures for video, gaming, and everyday use.
Galaxy’s Best Camera System Yet
The Galaxy S26 series brings professional-grade camera capabilities into everyday hands. On the S26 Ultra, wider apertures capture more light for detailed low-light shots, while Nightography Video ensures vibrant, clear footage in dim conditions. Upgraded Super Steady and the APV video codec make capturing professional-quality video simple.
AI-powered editing tools, including Photo Assist and Creative Studio, let users modify images or videos with natural language prompts, restore missing elements, or adjust lighting and outfits — all seamlessly integrated into a single workflow. Features like Document Scanner further simplify everyday tasks like digitising receipts or forms.
Proactive and Adaptive Galaxy AI
The Galaxy S26 series introduces more proactive and personalised AI, helping users accomplish tasks with fewer steps. Features like Now Nudge and Now Brief provide timely suggestions, reminders, and shortcuts based on context, while Circle to Search with Google allows users to explore multiple parts of an image at once.
Integrated AI agents, including Bixby, Gemini, and Perplexity, handle multi-step tasks in the background, from booking rides to coordinating apps, creating an intelligent, anticipatory mobile experience.

Samsung reinforces privacy with the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s built-in Privacy Display, the first of its kind for mobile devices. Privacy Display limits side visibility while maintaining full viewing quality for the user. Additional software safeguards like Call Screening, Privacy Alerts, Private Album, and Knox Matrix protect data across devices, giving users greater control and confidence.

Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Buds4, combining superior audio performance with ergonomic design. The Buds4 Pro features a wider woofer, enhanced Active Noise Cancellation, and Adaptive EQ, delivering immersive sound tailored to each user. Both Buds4 models offer computationally optimised fits for all-day comfort, premium materials, and intuitive controls including head gestures and AI voice commands.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra, S26+, and S26 are available for pre-orders from 26 February to 19 March 2026, with special offers including double storage and savings up to R5,000. Available colours include Cobalt Violet, White, Black, and Sky Blue.
The Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Buds4 are designed to complement the Galaxy ecosystem, delivering hands-free AI features, superior sound, and comfort for everyday wear, available in multiple colourways including White, Black, and Pink Gold (Buds4 Pro exclusive online).
