adidas Originals Presents the Next Chapter of The Original Icon: SUPERSTAR
Born on the basketball courts of the 1970s, adopted by the pioneers of hip-hop, and reimagined by every generation since, the adidas Originals Superstar remains The Original Icon — a symbol of self-expression, style, and authenticity that transcends time.

This season, legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson returns to lead a search for his Superstars, encountering a new wave of global icons redefining culture today. The campaign brings together cross-generational stars including JENNIE, Kendall Jenner, football prodigy Lamine Yamal, musical innovators Baby Keem and Olivia Dean, NBA superstar James Harden, and skateboarding legend Tyshawn Jones.
Narrated by Jackson, the campaign unfolds in the surreal world of Hotel Superstar, a space where time no longer exists. As Jackson navigates endless corridors and countless rooms, he encounters each icon in their element — from music and sport to fashion and art — showcasing their individuality and the enduring influence of the Superstar.
“The campaign celebrates the next era of the Superstar through both timeless design and cultural relevance,” says Annie Barrett, Vice President of Marketing, adidas Originals. “Superstars never go away; they are timeless and iconic. This season, we show their relevance across music, fashion, sport, and art, pushing the boundaries of reality with unexpected twists.”
Directed by visionary photographer and filmmaker Thibaut Grevet, the campaign combines cinematic storytelling with dynamic visuals, emphasizing how the Superstar continues to inspire creativity and self-expression across generations.
Reimagined Classics for Spring/Summer 2026
For Spring/Summer 2026, adidas Originals reinterprets the Superstar aesthetic through subtle shifts in tone, texture, and silhouette, blending nostalgic athletic styling with contemporary tailoring. The classic black-and-white palette is energized with bold red accents, bringing a fresh yet unmistakably authentic vibe.
The men’s collection features looser-fit tracksuits with red, black, and white color blocking, signature 3-Stripes detailing, denim shorts inspired by Tyshawn Jones, as well as tees and jacquard jerseys in neutral tones. The women’s range expands the track jacket’s possibilities, with standout pieces like the Superstar Tracktop, the Equipment Blocking Red Jacket worn by Kendall Jenner, as well as faux leather and crochet versions that blur the line between sport and street fashion.
Reimagined but true to its heritage, the Superstar continues to lead as a global emblem of authenticity, proving that some icons never fade — they simply evolve.
