EMMY AWARDS FASHION RE-CAP: WORST AND BEST DRESSED

Besides the big Viola Davis moment that had most of us in tears, this year’s Emmys were swamped with incredible red carpet fashion. The Guide dissects the red carpet ensembles that wooed us and those the made us cringe.
Best Dressed:
Taraji P Henson and Lavern Cox looked nothing short of exquisite in their ensembles, but I have to say that Cookie slayed the most for me in Alexander Wang. Her dress, make-up and hair were done for the Gods.
Another red carpet look I was crazy about had to be Kerri Washington in a shimmery Marc Jacobs dress, showing some serious leg.
This is probably my favourite Lady Gaga moment, the pop sensation looked regal as ever in a Brandon Maxwell gown. One can never really go wrong with black, especially when you keep it simple and elegant. Totes gaga over this ensemble!
I simply love this creation, it’s inventive, creative, stylish, worn by the perfect person and it’s gorgeous! Clare Danes rocked this Prada piece to the max, work it girl!
Worst dressed:
I absolutely love Tracee, but I cannot with this Zac Posen creation. It does nothing for her body and looks like it’s a piece simply for an editorial spread.
Taylor Schilling wore a stunning colour but off design, disliked the hem of the dress but adored everything else, so I wouldn’t really say it was worst dressed.
Mhmmmm… and then there was Elizabeth Moss in a fuchsia pink Oscar de la Renta dress. I’m really not liking this colour. In another shade of pink and Oscar de la Renta creation.
Maggie Gyllenhall; oh goodness, I just CANNOT!

Here in the UK we’ve had the world’s crappiest summer weather (it rained constantly for nearly 3 months) which has now been followed by one of the wettest, chilliest autumns I can remember. I know my horse responds to verbal praise. She is so much better behaved when I tell her what a good horse she is. I can literally feel the tension leave her body when I praise her when we ride together. And she loves her treats!

kind of a nice post… in a weird sort of way. we’re pregnant with baby four and my body never ceases to amaze me. my husband has shared his own awe and amazement at what my body is capable of and how divinely designed the whole pregnancy and childbirth things is. it’s kind of a cool deal that us women get.
