Lace Up: The Klean Pair Podcast Is Officially Here
Celebrating the Sneaker Community, One Story at a Time.
The Klean Pair Podcast has officially launched. With the aim of connecting with sneaker-heads from all over, the platform’s content is focused on the endless sneaker culture space, while implementing current, fun and intriguing consumer conversations.
Two friends, Kgabo “Burn” Tlhako and Tshepo “Tee” Mphela have come together to share their deep love for sneakers in the best way they know how – through impactful and genuine conversations with various special guests.
Also currently running a successful sneaker cleaning service, ‘Klean Tlhako’, merging their idea with the podcast, Kgabo and Tshepo have found the perfect way to blend business and pleasure.
After a successful watch along event this past weekend, and the much-anticipated first episode having aired yesterday on YouTube, the podcast is excited about what the future holds, as it also aims to add value to the ever-growing South African podcast landscape.
Says co-host, Kgabo Tlhako: “I am excited to start this weekly podcast with Tshepo. Every Sunday we are going to bring the heat, talking all things sneakers, entertainment and everything we are passionate about”.

About Kgabo “Burn” Tlhako:
A sneaker lover, multifaceted professional and dynamic DJ, Burn is a co-host of The Klean Pair Podcast– a culture-forward show where sneakers, stories and street culture collide. Also co-founder of Klean Tlhako – a sneaker-cleaning service.
A seasoned Sales professional with over 14 years’ experience, Burn has honed his skills in building brand visibility and loyalty across diverse markets. Currently he leads initiatives to expand the Nasty brand in South Africa as a Trade Activations & Sales Manager at Nasty Vapes World Wide.
With an impressive resume in the DJ space as well, Burn has played alongside some of South Africa’s prominent DJ names, while also making appearances on various TV and radio shows. A big highlight was being an opening act for Rick Ross’ ‘Blow Money Fast’ tour.
With a combination of his love for sneakers, music and brands, Burn brings a perfect blend of intrigue, wit and humour to the show.
About Tshepo “Tee” Mphela:
A sneaker head, storyteller and co-host of The Klean Pair Podcast– a culture-forward show where sneakers, stories and street culture collide. Also co-founder of Klean Tlhako – a sneaker-cleaning service, Tee’s passion for sneaker care goes beyond business, it’s about trust, craftsmanship and preserving the culture.
Professionally, Tee cut his teeth in the advertising world as a creative copywriter, before pivoting into integrated marketing communications and consulting. With years of experience crafting narratives and connecting with audiences, he now brings that same creative energy to The Klean Pair Podcast, blending real talk with humour, nostalgia and sneaker expertise.
A lifelong Jordan collector, Tee reps Arsenal FC internationally, but Orlando Pirates remain his first love, a fact proudly reflected in his match day kits featured throughout the show. Off the mic, you’ll catch him on the social basketball court (his knees say “easy”), curating his next sneaker pick-up, or building the Klean brand with co-host, Burn.
