A Romantic Date Idea: Love in the Baroque Era at La Motte
Kick off the month of love with the following: an enchanting evening of classical music at La Motte’s historic Parshuis in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley.
On 7 February 2026, the Cape Town Baroque Orchestra presents “Love in the Baroque Era”—an intimate chamber music concert inspired by the passions, relationships, and lives of Baroque composers. Performed on authentic period instruments, the programme celebrates love in all its forms through expressive and timeless works by some of history’s most celebrated composers.
Arrive early to enjoy a glass of wine and light refreshments in the estate gardens before the concert begins at 18:00. For a truly memorable evening, guests can opt for the concert-and-dinner package (R945), which includes a three-course meal and a glass of La Motte Classic Collection wine at L’Ami Family Brasserie, just a short stroll from the concert venue.
