Simonsig’s Chenin Blanc Legacy Continues with a Fresh Look and Official Status
Simonsig, the celebrated Stellenbosch wine estate, introduces the latest vintage of its award-winning barrel-fermented Chenin Blanc. This 2022 vintage holds special significance as Simonsig’s first wine to gain official Old Vine status. Formerly known as Simonsig Chenin Avec Chêne, this single vineyard Chenin Blanc is now called Langbult Steen, paying homage to the vineyard tended by three generations of the Malan family.

Langbult Steen is part of Simonsig’s Stellenbosch Terroir Selection range, representing the essence of Stellenbosch’s terroir. The wine impresses with complex aromas, tangy acidity, and a beautiful minerality. It has received accolades from renowned wine shows and is a testament to Simonsig’s expertise and heritage. Langbult Steen is available for purchase through Simonsig’s online shop, cellar door, select retailers, and restaurants. Visit www.simonsig.co.za/langbultsteen/ for more information.
