Simunye Music Experience, an exciting new music event series that celebrates the diversity and vibrancy of South African urban music culture. Inspired by the Zulu word “Simunye”, meaning “we are one”, the Simunye Music Experience is more than a music event – it’s a cultural movement.
Each edition of the Simunye Music Series will spotlight a distinct genre, including Amapiano, Hip Hop, Deep House, Gqom, Lekompo, Kwaito, Afrotech, and Afropop. Guests can expect genre-specific line-ups, curated live performances, immersive cultural aesthetics, and a premium lifestyle offering – all in celebration of the music that moves us.
The inaugural edition, Simunye Music Series: Amapiano, on July 5 at Maracanà (Sandton), will set the tone for what’s to come, bringing together some of Amapiano’s finest talents in a setting that reflects the rhythm and spirit of the music genre. Confirmed headliners include Sir Trill, Pabi Cooper, and Russell Zuma, with additional artists and DJs to be revealed in an exciting manner on 38 Talent’s social media accounts.
