Converse unveils ‘Year of The Horse’ Collection, embarking on an Inspirational Journey for Chinese New Year

As Chinese New Year approaches, Converse draws inspiration from the Horse in the Chinese zodiac to launch its “Taking Flight” footwear and apparel collection for the Year of the Horse. Blending winter style with a sense of freedom and boundless imagination, this collection encourages everyone to embrace creativity and leap into the new year with expressive energy.

The designs incorporate symbolic elements such as the Pegasus emblem, horseshoe motifs, and golden thread accents representing good luck, while vibrant Chinese red amplifies the new-year mood. Tassels sway gently with movement, adding a dynamic signature touch. Horseshoe shapes are subtly embedded in heel designs and hardware, conveying quiet New Year’s blessings. Layered textures and soft tones intertwine, offering warmth and imaginative appeal to winter outfits.

The collection introduces three unique footwear styles, each showcasing refined craftsmanship in honour of the Year of the Horse.

  • The Chuck 70 Tassel edition – featuring a satin-weave upper with detachable leather tassels, presented in a red and white palette accented by a gilded horseshoe D-ring that brings lively charm to the classic silhouette.
  • The Chuck Taylor All Star Fold Over Lift Boot – a bold high-top profile with fold-over construction, crafted from durable canvas and quilted layers for rich texture. A raised midsole and two extra-long laces further amplify its bold character.
  • The Run Star Trainer Tassel edition: Infused with tassel details on the tongue, this retro-inspired style combines smooth lines with modern comfort. A triple-layer memory foam insole ensures lightweight cushioning, while star chevron logos and horseshoe D-ring accents carry subtle wishes for good luck.

Converse’s Year of the Horse apparel collection incorporates embroidered motifs inspired by horse-related symbols, offering consumer a festive and stylish wardrobe choices for the Chinese New Year.
