BBC Lifestyle’s Come Dine With Me South Africa continues to entertain South African audiences by tapping into our fascination with people’s private lives – their homes, their cooking skills, anecdotes and their flops (sometimes). Part two of its sixth season is back on our screens, following the SAFTA nomination received for part one, and continues with episode three on BBC Lifestyle, DStv channel 171 as part of #LivelocalBBC Wednesdays at 8PM.
While the concept of a dinner party competition show is inherently entertaining, Come Dine with Me South Africa wouldn’t be what it is without narrator Dave Lamb’s comedic commentary. Providing viewers with instant comic relief, Mr. Lamb continues to be a shining star of the show, owing to his ability to create banter through his sharp, unexpected and very witty narration.
Here are some of our favourite moments of Dave Lamb with this season’s contestants and a sneak peek at what to look forward to on episode three :
Video 1: Episode 1; Clarissa’s Thankful Turkey – Everyone loves a Thankful Turkey, or do they? (see full clip here )
Video 2 – Episode 1; David Lamb’s response to Amanda being a multipotentialite – No, Mr. Lamb, no one actually knows what that is. (see full clip here)
Video 3 – Episode 1; Soweto-based events planner Clarissa to being a Chocolateee; Yes this is a bougie way of calling yourself a chocolate lover – go figure… (see full clip here )
Video 4: Episode 1; Clarissa’s response to everything being an A – yes this too made us laugh out loud… (see full clip here)
