3rd Annual Tshwane Food Fest set to unite Foodies at Fountains Valley
For the past 2 years, hundreds of foodies have flocked to the Cap city to celebrate the first ever food festival to hit the City of Tshwane. In its third year running, bigger and even better, the Tshwane Food Fest is bringing excitement as we get our taste buds ready for yet another savouring experience. The legendary heritage site Fountains Valley will be the back drop to this year’s edition, taking place this Saturday, 27 October 2018.
Bring an appetite for adventure and be prepared to taste curious and tasty dishes created by chefs from various tribes all over Africa. From African Traditional iDombolo with beef stew to Caribbean chicken, spicy Indian curry, Jamaican cuisines, Nigerian Jollof rice and gourmet doughnuts with toppings of your choice for those with a sweet tooth. The festival will be giving the passionate foodies a variety of food to savour or every palate this weekend.
Nqobile Mahlangu, Tshwane Food Fest organizer says, “Every year we aim to raise the bar. We are going from strength to strength and 2018 will be no different! We want people to spend a day out in the sun with their families and friends over an amazing meal, drinks and an ambience of entertainment in our beautiful City.”
The day will feature entertainment for the entire family and an experience of variety of food and beverages. The program for the day includes Lipton Ice Tea’s oversized games, photo booths, mingling with the witty Pretoria-based chef-turned-social media sensation, Lebogang Tlokan known as The Funny Chef, food pairing with various partnered brands and musical entertainment from local DJs and performers. The festival caters to all, with a picnic area fit for family fun and a supervised kiddie’s area, everyone is sure to have a blast!
With the growth of artisanal beers, Tshwane Food Fest will be hosting a dedicated beer garden for beer fans! If you are looking to have tons of fun but still want to arrive home safely, Uber has got your back with a bonus for all first time Uber users who will receive R50 off all first time trips by simply using the Promo Code “TSHWANEFOODFEST18”.
